I had an idea

Ideas don't arrive like a light bulb switching on: they arrive like a storm, they drip, go dark and come back. I had an idea follows that intimate cycle of creation, with its excitement and its small death, inside a box that opens and closes. Having an idea, it seems to say, means accepting that something in us will have to change to make room for it.
