Both of us

Every face has two versions: the one it offers and the one it protects. Both of us lives at that crossing, where the innocence of childhood icons blends with an adult gaze that consumes, labels and rewrites. The eyes stay covered, as if seeing and being seen could no longer be pulled apart. We are both, the piece says, and neither is ever entirely ours.
